We may get new iPads this year. Maybe. Possibly.
Or at the very least, we may get a new iPad accessory. This is all according to a pair of new reports from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and the Japanese Mac blog Mac Otakara (per MacRumors). First, on Gurman's side, the popular Apple reporter and tipster said that the Cupertino-based tech giant may not refresh its iPad line in October like it normally does. It may still happen this year, but not this month, per Gurman.

Temper your expectations. Gurman said to expect new base-level iPads, iPad Airs, and iPad Minis with newer and better chips inside. However, don't expect these new-generation tablets to knock your socks off. According to Gurman, they won't have any significant updates. The next-generation iPad Pro will reportedly have more eye-catching upgrades, including an OLED display, but that won't come until 2024 at the earliest.
If we don't get new iPads this year, we may get a new Apple Pencil, per Mac Otakara. It could have interchangeable tips for different purposes and a USB-C connector for charging à la the iPhone 15 Pro. It's been five years since the second-generation Apple Pencil was released, so it's about time the stylus got an update.
Just be patient, iPad fans. Something new is coming ... someday.
