If you're looking for a new show to stream this fall, Lessons in Chemistry — based on Bonnie Garmus' highly popular novel — has officially arrived.

Set in the sexist 1950s, Lessons in Chemistry stars Brie Larson as protagonist Elizabeth Zott, a chemist pressured by society to follow societal roles and be a dutiful housewife. Not one to play by the rules, she accepts a job hosting a cooking show on television, where she seeks to teach her viewers much more than just recipes. It also stars Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker, and Thomas Mann.

What streaming service is Lessons in Chemistry on?

Lessons in Chemistry is an Apple TV original, which means the only way to stream it is on Apple's own streaming service, Apple TV+. It premieres on Oct. 13 with two initial episodes. New episodes come out every Friday following the premiere for a total of eight episodes. The finale will air on Nov. 24.

How to watch Lessons in Chemistry on Apple TV+ for free

Apple TV+ generally costs $6.99/month to subscribe. But unlike most other streamers, Apple TV+ offers new and returning subscribers plenty of ways to stream its content at no cost. Below, we've rounded up some of our favorite ways you can get Apple TV+ for free. Since Lessons in Chemistry drops two episodes upfront, then new episodes every Friday for a total of eight, you'll really only need an Apple TV+ subscription for about six weeks to watch it in its entirety.

Best overall: Get 3 months of Apple TV+ for free via Best Buy (new or returning subscribers)

If you're new to Apple TV+, Best Buy has an epic deal for you. If you sign up for Apple TV+ through Best Buy, the retailer will email you a digital promotion for three free months of Apple TV+. Just click "redeem now" on the email and enter your Apple ID information and the promotional code should automatically unlock three months (plus an extra week) of Apple TV+. Three months of streaming is plenty of time to binge-watch all of Lessons in Chemistry and check out some of the other content Apple TV+ has to offer (we highly recommend Shrinking, Platonic, and Ted Lasso). If you don't want to be charged the $6.99/month fee automatically once your three months come to an end, be sure to cancel at least a day before your trial is up.

Note: you can also unlock three free months of Apple TV+ with the purchase of new Apple hardware (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac) if you're a new subscriber. Just be sure to claim the deal within 90 days of your purchase.

It regularly costs $16.95, but if you're a new subscriber, you'll get your first month of each app subscription, including Apple TV+, for free. Cancel before the trial ends and you'll pay nothing. If you don't qualify for any of the free options above, you can still save money on an Apple TV+ subscription by committing to an entire year of streaming. While paying monthly will cost you $6.99/month or $83.88/year, an annual subscription will only cost you $69.99/year, which translates to just $5.83 per month — that's 15% in savings. Head over to your Apple subscriptions, click on Apple TV+, and select the annual plan instead of the monthly plan to save.
