Arnold Schwarzenegger's character in FUBAR is back for one last job. He's a CIA operative who discovers his daughter is also a CIA operative. His mission is to rescue her, so the two can team up to stop a terrorist from selling nuclear weapons.
2. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (Paramount+)
The title that never quite worked beyond the role-playing game (despite a pretty good Saturday morning cartoon decades ago) finally gets its due. Watch Chris “Captain Kirk” Pine use his charm as he leads a merry band of adventurers trying to save the world in a fantasy setting that would make a pretty good gaming module.
3. From (MGM+)
This horror show is entering its second season. The premise is that there’s a small town in middle America where people can go in—but they can’t get out. Much like _____ (insert name of your hometown).
4. Air (Prime Video)
Ben Affleck gave up the cape and cowl and is finally back to directing, this time with a biopic (of sorts) of how Nike went from an also-ran shoe manufacturer to a sneaker powerhouse by embracing Michael Jordan before he was the GOAT.
5. Silo (Apple TV+)
In the dystopian universe of Silo (based on the book Wool), humanity lives underground in a—yes—silo, but everyone has been there for so many generations that they have no idea why or how they got there. They have been told that the surface of the earth is uninhabitable. But that's an assumption a few are willing to test.
6. Succession (Max)
The central question was always this: Who's going to get Daddy's love—or rather, his company, which is the closest thing—on Succession? Now we know the answer. As the finale started, Shiv, Roy, and Kendall all felt betrayed and were out for (a brick of) blood. Did anyone end up happy? (A small spoiler: One person did. But not the one you expect.)
7. Shazam! Fury of the Gods (Max)
If you didn't see Shazam! Fury of the Gods at the theater (well, no one did), then you can watch it on the newly named Max this weekend. Billy Batson, aka Captian Marvel Shazam, and his similarly superpowered foster siblings have angered the gods by taking on their powers. Now they have to answer for it.
8. Ted Lasso (Apple TV+)
The end is here. It's the final season of Ted Lasso, the feel-good hit of the decade. The show went a little off the rails as it wound down and didn't pay much attention to Ted himself, but Ted Lasso the character and the show were always at their best when focused on the misfits in the ball club.
9. Missing (Netflix)
In this movie, a young girl tries to find her mom using the tool at her disposal: the internet. The whole film looks like it’s happening onscreen, so maybe you’ll be less tempted to look at your own phone while viewing.
10. Jury Duty (Freevee)
The first ad-based video-on-demand (AVOD) show of the year to make Reelgood’s list is Jury Duty, which is essentially a season-long Punk’d gag on one guy who doesn’t know he isn’t really on a jury—he’s on TV.
