Welcome to the world post-Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour'.
Swifties filled cinemas — and our social media feeds — during opening weekend. After so many fans missed out on attending Swift's tour due to overwhelming demand and skyrocketing ticket prices, it should come as no surprise that the film is already the highest-grossing domestic concert movie ever. Swifties leaned into the concert aspect of the movie by forgoing their seats, singing and dancing in the aisles, and taking ample videos of the scene.
Cinemas saw Swifties in their purest form and so did the internet.

And that wasn't the only time Swifties were caught circled up in front of the screen. In a clip out of Mexico, fans joined together in a chain during "Willow." The video is captioned, "Mexican Swifties conduct a demonic ritual at a screening of 'The Eras Tour."
A post from Film Updates features another circle. The videos prompted many in the Swiftie community to comment, "We are never beating the cult allegations."
Other screenings made the prayer circles seem tame. Some fans were seemingly rolling around on the ground during "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)." They're honestly valid for that! In the Philippines, an entire theater waved lightsticks for "Cruel Summer."
But perhaps the most bizarre clip to come out of the opening weekend was of Swift's ex Taylor Lautner doing a backflip and a series of other strange and labor-intensive moves directly in front of the screen. He needs a hobby!
