LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Disney has found itself at the receiving end of a severe internet backlash after partnering with transgender influencer Seann Altman to promote female apparel.
The influencer, who identifies as gender fluid but uses he/him pronouns, recently took to his social media to share a promotional video for Disney Style, which advertises clothing and accessories from the Disney range.
In the video, Altman donned a Minnie Mouse-style getup to show fans how they can look like the beloved character of the Mickey Mouse family.
He explained that he chose to dress up as Minnie Mouse because the cartoon character was "the most like me," and he even had "the perfect dress to start the look."
To look 'just like Minnie', the social media star donned a small red dress, which he paired with a large white lacy necklace and a white flair skirt.
He added drama to the look by sporting a belt, white lacy gloves, and a watch before putting on red lipstick and styling his hair in dual buns on either side of his head to channel the iconic “Minnie Mouse ears” look.
"I literally look like Minnie Mouse. And I fit in perfectly with Mickey and his friends," he said with a twirl. "The bow, with the dress and the shoes, really seal the deal, now I'm fashionable, bold, and fun just like Minnie Mouse," he continued.
Disney Style also shared the video on its own TikTok account with the caption, “a Minnie moment” with the “heart hands” emoji.

‘Arrange the funeral for Disney’
Altman has a huge social media following but Disney’s move to push the promotion sparked a furious backlash on the internet. While some users questioned if Altman was the right choice to advertise children's costumes, others said the company had capitulated to woke pressure.
"Somebody get a shovel and arrange the funeral for Disney. Disney never learns," a user said, while another wrote, "Can’t imagine why Disney stock is crashing."
"Disney is out at least a billion from the losses it's suffered at the box office. if they haven't learned from that," a third user asserted as a fourth user said, "For Disney, this is pouring oil ahead of themselves on the slide they're already riding."
"Disney is losing so much money & appears to be infiltrated by promoters of everything sick & evil a parent would not want their kids exposed to. #boycottwokeDisney," another fumed.
"Disney clearly learned nothing from the Bud Light fiasco and has partnered with transgender TikTok influencer Seann Altman, a biological male who identifies as “gender fluid,” to promote a line of girls’ apparel," one more user said, referencing the backlash following Dylan Mulvaney's Bud Light partnership.
