Google has a new feature — currently in beta — that helps users take screenshots on YouTube.
The feature, which apparently will soon make its way to all Chrome users, is super simple and helpful.
Here's how it works:
Pause a YouTube video while watching it in Chrome
Right-click the video
A drop-down menu reveals the option "Save video frame as"
Save the image as a PNG
User @Leopeva64 showed how the feature works on X.
The feature should prove helpful when you want a screenshot of just the video frame. This should remove the hassle of doing it manually or cropping down a screenshot of your entire screen. With just a couple clicks, you'll have an image of the video in the same resolution as the video itself.
