Apple's cheapest Music plan, the $4.99-per-month Apple Music Voice, is no longer available.

First noticed by Brazilian website MacMagazine (via MacRumors), the plan is being discontinued in November in all countries and regions where it was available.

"We are focused on delivering the best, most robust music experience possible for our customers, with features like immersive Spatial Audio, Apple Music Sing with real-time lyrics, intuitive browse and discovery features, and so much more. All Apple Music plans already work seamlessly with Siri, and we will continue to optimize this experience," said Apple in a support document on its website.

Subscribers to Apple Music Voice can continue on their plan until the duration of their final billing cycle, but they will have their auto-renew turned off. They can then choose to switch to another Apple Music plan. This will cost them quite a bit more; the Individual Apple Music plan costs $10.99 per month, though students can get a subscription at $5.99. There's also the Family Apple Music plan, which extends the subscription to up to six people, for $16.99 a month.

Apple launched the Music Voice plan late in 2021. In my review, I found it somewhat usable, especially as a sort of a tryout for Apple Music in general, though it lacked some key features and was too reliant on Siri.
