This is another second-generation product, and the Ring Video Doorbell is a very functional front door security system with a bevy of features. Capturing 1080p video in a 155-degree field of view, it'll keep tabs on your porch or entryway with ease. For power, the Ring doorbell uses a built-in rechargeable battery but can also be wired into a home AC system for continuous charging. There are a number of different pre-packaged Ring security kits, but the pick for us is $100 off the eight-piece system. You get a base station to network the system together, a range extender to ensure signal, a keypad for easy control, a motion detector and four contact sensors for doors or windows. We reviewed the Ring Spotlight Cam Pro's plug-in configuration, but being able to tap into the free power of the sun makes this extremely versatile camera an even better deal—especially at 31% off.
